Welcome to Brandons' Libraries for Little Ones,
dedicated to improving the lives of children in the foster care system.

Our Story
Brandon's Libraries for Little Ones is a labor of love that unfolded from the adoption experience of the Sonnenbergs, a family from northern Idaho.  The story began years ago when a sweet and innocent young boy named Brandon was placed into foster care. Read more »

Donations are Rolling In!!!
Book donations are picking up and we are off to a wonderful start this year!  We are accepting donations to complete active projects for partnering foster care agencies in both Idaho and Texas.  So far we have received donations for both of our programs: Libraries of Love and Brandon's Backpacks.  If you would like to participate, there are a number of ways you can help!  You can submit a monetary gift, or you can make a material donation of reading accessories or new and gently used books in good condition.  For a list of needed materials, please see our donations page.

If you live locally in the Moscow, Idaho area or the Houston, Texas area and would like us to pick up your donation, please contact us to make arrangements. If you do not live in the immediate area of these two cities, please feel free to mail in your donations. If you will be mailing your donations, we encourage you to look into shipping by Media Mail. This is typically the most cost effective method of shipping educational materials (just make sure your items meet the Media Mail guidelines).

Jazz at the Naz 2013
Thanks to the participation, volunteerism and sponsorship of community members and local businesses alike, our new Idaho fundraising event, Jazz at the Naz, was a heartwarming success. Musicians Mark Little and Eric Engerbretson worked together to provide an amazing performance, while John Borgstedt shared his moving story of overcoming all odds, educating the audience on child abuse and advocacy.  The community responded with an incredible show of financial support and volunteerism.  Our deepest, heart-felt thanks go out to all of those in our community who helped make this event possible, from our underwriters, local business partners and volunteers, to the community members who showed their support through event attendance.  We also extend our deepest gratitude to our guest speakers and performers who so graciously gave their all to make Jazz at the Naz a success!

If you would like to learn more about our event guests, Mark Little and John Borgstedt, please visit our Jazz at the Naz website to view their biographies.

To learn more about Eric Engerbretson, please see the biography provided on his website.

TFFA Conference in San Antonio, TX
Thanks to help of Terri Parsons, a Texas Foster Care specialist, Aleta Sonnenberg and Tiamae Dulany were able to attend the TFFA (Texas Foster Family Association) conference in San Antonio, TX and introduce the Brandon's Libraries for Little Ones program. During the conference, they met so many amazing people within the fostering community who are focused and passionate about changing the lives of children in need. After three days of extensive sharing, networking and collaboration, Aleta and Tiamae returned to Houston very satisfied with the progress made during the convention. Thank you to everyone who worked with us to make this possible! www.tffa.org
